Below are a few of the Frequently Asked Questions about CourtDocMaps. If you do
not see the answer to your question, please contact us, and we will replay back as soon as we can.
Q: Where does the data for the maps
come from? A: Data
for our GIS Maps is collected from the County Appraisers Office, Country Tax Collectors and the Country Clerk of Court.
Q: What formats do maps come in? A: We provide maps in Google Earth® and PDF
formats. Many times data is also available in Microsoft Excel® format.
Q: Do I need software to view the maps? A: Our Tools page provides links to the tools you will need to view and manipulate our map and data products. - Google Earth® Maps require you to download and install the Free version of Google Earth®,
available directly from Google.
- PDF Maps require the use of a PDF reader such
as Adobe Reader®, available directly from Adobe..
- EXCEL Data requires the
use of Microsoft Excel® or any other spreadsheet application that is able to import MS Excel® workbooks.
Q: How often are the maps updated? A: Most of our map and data products are updated
on a monthly basis. Tax Lien data is updated approximately 3 weeks before the sale.
Q: How can I be notified when new maps
are available? A:
You are invited to sign up for our Data Alert, where you will be notified via email whenever new data is loaded to the site.
Q: Can I upload maps to my iPhone or
iPad? A: The ability
to upload our Google Maps® products to your iPad is coming soon. There are currently no plans for iPhone formats.
Q: How can I get a map of a particular planning
district, neighborhood, zip code, etc? A: Yes. We provide a wide range of custom map and data products to meet the specific needs of the investor.
Simply contact us and complete the email form, and we will respond to your request as quickly as possible.
Q: How will my data order
be delivered to me? A:
Data orders are available for immediate download through our providor eJunkie.
Q: When downloaded data,
what is considered the 'Current Month'? A: The 'Current Month' will always be the most recent past full month. - For Example: On January 7th, 'Current Month' data will be the full month of December.
- Next 'Current Month' data is uploaded/available for purchase by the 5th of each month.
Q: What does a Weekly
or Monthly Tax Lien Subscription mean? A: Weekly subscription provided
7 days, Monthly subscription provides 30 days on-line access to Tax Lien GIS
Maps via ESRI.
Q: How do I gain access
to the Interactive Map once I pay for my subscription? A: Once payment is processed, within 24 hours you
will be sent an email with link to your Interactive Map along with ID/Password information.
Q: What does it mean to become a Patron? A: Patrons are greatly appreciated and support the availability of Free GIS maps for everyone. Depending on
the level of support, patrons can receive:- early access to newly published maps
- companion attribute spreadsheets
- and even commission their own custom maps
